after the moon came
Ancient cultures have stories that talk about times BEFORE the moon came. There are theories that it is hollow with an outer layer 3 miles deep and the inner crust 20 miles thick with a hollow center (Caramel filled I believe... ).
In theory, as a satellite planet, compared to satellites of other planets the moon is too large.
Only this past year did I learn that in my already intriguing family history there is a crater on the dark side of the moon called Parsons Crater, named after my ancestor, John Whiteside Parsons the American Jet Propulsionist that worked with Werner Von Braun to get Nasa to the moon. 4th Earl of Rosse, Lawrence Parsons is noted for measuring the heat of the moon.
